A play by George Bakolas, strongly based on the plot of Hamlet, as the title suggests (A Man Called Hamlet), staged at the Municipal Theatre of Thessaly. The basic idea was a team of wandering raggedy actors staging Hamlet at a village bazaar. So the feeling had to be one of a stage set up in haste and their costume would look like they were rags once real costumes or found in their wardrobe by any imaginable way. We also went for a bit of punk/grunge aesthetic. An amazingly strenuous but at the same time enjoyable experience. Photos of the set and the play, Claudius, Hamlet and Ophelia and a very bad picure of the costume renderings!
