OVID'S METAMORPHOSES AND PLAUTUS'S TWINS (FOR CHILDREN) BY DIMITRIS POTAMITIS (2000)
https://search.lib.auth.gr/Record/psifiothiki-75498
A unique experience working with the late, brilliant Dimitris Potamitis on half a dozen of Ovid's myths. Set and costume design. The costume renderings are some of the first from a long sequence of research and renderings that followed before we finally decided what we'd like to do. The rendering of the mask for Zeus (all masks were made by myself) and a photo from the play. We decided on a half fairy-tale half-dream theatre visual approach with elaborate masks reminiscent of the venetian carnival and Italy, a parallel between the carnival and the theatre as originating from the dionysian festivities.
